Kotlin
Kotlin is a statically typed programming language for modern multiplatform applications. It is designed to interoperate fully with Java and the JVM version of the Android Standard Library.
Kotlin is the language we prefer for modern Android development because it improves code clarity, safety, and maintainability compared with older Java-heavy mobile stacks. It is well suited for applications that need clean architecture, structured asynchronous work, and native integration with the current Android ecosystem.
We use Kotlin for mobile features, API consumption, local persistence, and UI implementation with modern Android tooling. Its concise syntax and strong interoperability make it practical both for new Android products and for gradual modernization of older applications that still carry a significant Java codebase.
